Accuweigh Weighbridge Uses Avery Stainless Steel Load Cells for Cheetham Salt.

The heavy-duty weighbridge currently being installed at Cheetham Salt’s Bajool plant in central Queensland required extensive foundations work in the form of a floating raft to ensure the weighbridge foundations were up to the task on the unstable soils.

The weighbridge is 26 metres long by 3 metres wide with a concrete weighbridge deck and all metal is fully galvanized for protection against the salty environment.

This weighbridge was sold by Terry Langford from Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch with the installation handed over to Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch for scheduled completion in mid January, 2008.

Avery T302 weighbridge load cells were used because of their full stainless steel housing and IP68 rating. The weighing electronics are competently taken care of using Rinstrum weighing components, including:

1 x Rinstrum 5000 digital weight indicator
1 x Rinstrum 6700 remote display for internal use
1 x Rinstrum D740 large digit remote display for external use

AA Software’s very flexible Ticket Aid Pro+ weighbridge software was supplied pre-configured on a PC along with a weighbridge ticket printer to perform all the necessary weighbridge tracking functions for vehicles and products.
