Bulka Bag Fillers Exported to Middle East
Five Budpak Bulka Bag Fillers were recently supplied for the RAS AL KHAIR aluminium smelter in Saudi Arabia. Fully Australian made by Accuweigh/Budpak, the Bulka Bag Fillers feature stainless steel product contact surfaces that are corrosion resistant.
Each Stand-Alone Bulka Bag Filler is designed to collect material discharged from the various dust collectors for a cleaner working environment. The operator’s duties includes manually placing the Bulka Bag’s straps onto support hooks and the bag neck on the filling spout before initiating the bulk bag filling sequence.
The filled bag is then closed by the operator for removal from the Bulk Bag Filling Station using a fork lift with pallet taking the weight of the filled bag from underneath to allow the bulk bag straps to be released. An empty bag is then attached before the process is repeated.
Each Bulk Bag Filling Station uses a pneumatically operated knife gate valve to regulate product flow into the bag with the inlet flange and knife gate valve supported from the rotary valve outlet. A flexible connection between the knife gate valve outlet and filling chute inlet is used for improved filling performance.
Budpak’s Bulka Bag Fillers include a heavy duty RHS steel support frame with an integrated weighing system containing four shear beam load cells of one tonne capacity each for a high safety overload margin.
