CHEMECA 2008 "Towards a sustainable Australasia"
Newcastle is hosting CHEMECA 2008 "Towards a sustainable Australasia"
The conference will be held 28 September to 1 October 2008 at Newcastle City Hall. We hope that the particle technology community will support this event as strongly as the 2007 event, where a there was a particle technology session running in every session of the conference.
Registration will open soon. Early bird registration will end on 30th June.
Newcastle is noted for its pristine beaches and vineyards, although we are sure the conference will be too interesting to linger long! Newcastle is also famous as a city particle technology - home to many fascinating industrial-scale particle and minerals processing operations, including BHP Billiton, who are a gold sponsor of the conference.
The Australasian Particle Technology Society (APTSoc) AGM will be held at Chemeca - details of the time and date will be announced in the next APTSoc newsletter.

What is APTSoc?
The Australasian Particle Technology Society (APTSoc) was formed in 1998 with the aim to promote the connection, interaction and the cooperation between all organizations working in particle technology area – including academic and industrial research, government organizations and commercial manufacturers.
Membership of the Society is administrated through the Institution of Engineers Australia. You do not need to be a member of IEAust to join. Please contact the secretary for a membership brochure and application form.
