Drop Centre Floor Scales From Accuweigh
A stainless steel drop centre floor scale was supplied by Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch to Jurlique for weighing ingredients for natural skin care products.
The application required a low profile floor scale onto which a trolley fitted with a mixing bowl is wheeled for weighing the individual natural ingredients before they are mixed.
A pit mounded floor scale with the weighing surface level with the floor would have been the best solution but as this wasn’t possible, Accuweigh’s Tom Armour offered a custom drop centre floor scale to keep the weighing surface as low as possible. A small incline ramp was then fitted to the front of the platform scale to allow easy access for the trolleys.
The entire platform and ramp are fabricated in stainless steel to suit Jurlique’s strict requirements for polished clean surfaces and the platform scale is fitted with A&D Mercury loadcells and a Rinstrum 5000 digital weight indicator to achieve the necessary 10g accuracy.
