Efficient Solutions for Industrial Process Air Filtration and Dust Collection
Ptronik Pty Ltd, formerly P Thomas Electronics, is an Australian company with Australian made products based in Richmond NSW. The company was established in 1971 by Paul Thomas and in 2004 acquired by Megan and Robert Bosshard.
Ptronik designs, develops and manufactures highly efficient and effective process optimisation (monitoring, control and management) solutions for industrial process air filtration and dust collection.
The company manufactures a breadth of products; from simple pulse controllers for manufacturers of industrial dust collection equipment to highly efficient remote monitoring and control solutions designed for retro fitting to existing operations. Their core product - the pMC Master Controller - delivers the capability to configure, monitor and manage, remotely or in situ, the routine pulse cleaning cycles of ‘baghouse’ industrial dust collection installations. Or in simple terms, it manages how many times the dust collection bags need pulsing.
The overall benefit of this product is optimised plant performance because of:
- Reductions in the electrical energy costs associated with pulse cleaning of between 30 and 50%.
- Reductions in the CO2 emissions associated with the electrical energy requirements of between 30 and 50%.
- Plant productivity improvements through the reductions in pulse cleaning cycles delivering increase plant ‘up time’.
- Increases in the service life of the bag material and other components.
- The return on investment is achieved within 12-18 months.
PTronik also provide fully customised plant management solutions to meet specific needs. Their customers are the manufacturing, installation and end user communities who rely on effective industrial air filtration and dust collection processes to meet their commercial imperatives and or statutory obligations. More specifically, three core groups:
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) who incorporate Ptronik’s products into their dust collection products
End Users who have existing dust collection installations but are not optimising their use. Through our market interrogation work we have identified a potentially large and diverse market that needs to optimise their dust collection installations to achieve operational and environmental efficiencies. These end user industries include Mining, Pharmaceuticals and Food manufacturing.
End Users whose requirements go beyond that of single or multiple pMC installations where Ptronik deliver a fully customised service.
