Eximo sells its 11,000th km of Flex
So how far is 11,000 kms? Try flying from Sydney to Karachi in Pakistan- that is exactly 11,000 kms and that is how far all of Eximo’s Flex ducting that it has sold would stretch.
Eximo’s Flex of course is general-purpose ducting and is produced specifically for many diverse industry applications including food, mining, welding, printing, papermaking, water removal and even toxic gas extraction.
FoodFlex for example is a medium weight and flexible polyurethane ducting that is clear of colour, thus allowing constant inspection of product as it travels along the system. Apart from its strong and flexible polyurethane, wall reinforcement is done by way of its powder coated spring steel helix throughout the length of the product. Typical applications of FoodFlex include suction and transport of lightweight materials in food and pharmaceutical industries. Food Flex contains an organic compound that is resistant to mould, fungus microbes and hydrolysis. FoodFlex with a diameter ranging from 25 mm to 99 mm has a wall thickness of 0.5 mm.
WeldFlex is a lightweight PVC duct which is flame retardant according to DIN 4102. Its applications include air-conditioning and suction of air, welding fumes and light dusts and it offers a temperature resistance of up to 100° C. WeldFlex has a number of highly unique attributes including being self-extinguishing, high flexibility, extreme helix-like PVC structure and is available from 52 mm to 505 mm in diameter. WeldFlex is designed for use in a variety of industries including those where explosion issues and safety are paramount including the petroleum, chemical, paint, fertilizer, solvent and food industries.
ClearFlex is a lightweight and very flexible PVC ducting with a high bend radius, which can be used for the suction of air, fumes and light dusts. ClearFlex offers excellent flexibility and good compressibility and is supplied in 10 m rolls or cut lengths to order. ClearFlex is made from a spring steel helix to assist maintaining its shape under pressure and is available in a bend radii starting at 16 mm all the way up to 350 mm and from a 1 mm wire thickness to a 2 mm wire thickness. The PVC joins in ClearFlex comprise of 2 PVC strips that have been heat-welded together giving a double-thickness structure designed to provide maximum strength and flexibility.
