Hawk Measurement Systems, Australia, announces joint venture with MS Instrumentos in Brazil
Hawk, a leading global provider of level, positioning and flow measurement technology, has announced a joint venture with MS Instrumentos in Brazil.
Les Richards, owner and Managing Director of Hawk Measurement Systems, explained, “Brazil has a booming mining industry and MS Instrumentos has had great success with Hawk’s level measurement products. This joint venture will help Hawk to get even better penetration into this attractive market.”
MS Instrumentos Industriais Ltda, supplies a wide range of industrial measurement equipment and controls, concentrating on non-contact measurement of products and materials. The industries serviced by MS Instrumentos include food and beverage, ceramics, metals and mining, plastics, and water and wastewater treatment. The company has a staff of 32 employees consisting of highly-trained engineers and technicians.
Julio Silveira, owner of MS Instrumentos, explained why his company was interested in the joint venture. “We were anxious to work with Hawk because they produce quality-oriented products, and can maintain innovation and state-of-the-art technology. They have also demonstrated an ability to be aware of market demand and respond to it. Hawk has a knowledgeable, hard working, and technically competent sales and support team.” He added, “Hawk's owner has character traits which justify confidence and make it a pleasure to be associated in business.”
The joint venture agreement becomes effective on July 1.
