Linear Weighers Exported To Asia
Linear weighers were recently exported to Indonesia for packaging white refined sugar into small pouches. Accuweigh’s Budpak branch in Newcastle supplied and commissioned the linear weighers for a sugar refinery based in Sumatra, Indonesia.
Six sets of Budpak’s PLA-G8 linear weighers are now operating in this sugar refinery due to increased sugar demand in the region. Commissioning of the linear weigher also involved interfacing (both mechanically and electrically) to a dual fill HFFS pouch machine located on the floor below.
Budpak’s PLA-G8 multihead linear weigher has eight weighing heads arranged in two rows of four weighers, mounted back to back, discharging into twin delivery chutes to achieve speeds of up to 80 weighings per minute. An Allen Bradley PLC with an integrated colour touch screen provides an exemplary operator interface of the linear weigher and features multi-level password protection.
Budpak’s PLA multihead linear weighers are manufactured in Australia and widely accepted as a proven performer in the world’s sugar industry. Budpak has supplied over 125 multihead linear weighers to sugar refineries in Australia and South East Asia.
