Mechanical Weighbridge Serviced For Australian Grains
An aging mechanical weighbridge was recently serviced and tested using Accuweigh Newcastle’s weighbridge test unit. The weighbridge based at Moree was then certified for trade use to allow Australian Grains to sell their grain by weight over the weighbridge.
The Avery weighbridge is a fully mechanical design using levers, knife-edges and bearings under the weighbridge deck which are connected to a steelyard with a travelling poise for indicating the weight on the weighbridge deck.
The weighbridge has a metal deck measuring 8m x 3m and is best suited to weighing short body trucks that fit completely on the weighbridge deck.
