Metal Detection For Bulk Materials.
Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch has supplied three metal detection machines to Penrice Soda’s Osbourne Plant for their bulk materials filling lines. Metal detection scanning is being performed on all Penrice’s processed products to ensure compliance with Penrice Soda’s strict quality standards.
Two drop-through metal detection units are inspecting soda ash and sodium bicarbonate being filled into bulka-bags at a rate of 20t per hour. The scanning aperture of the metal detection units have inbuilt test piece insertion ports for fast and easy testing and calibrations of the metal detector heads.
A single in-line metal detection machine is also being used for inspecting bagged products of 15kg to 25kg capacities at rates of 10 bags per minute. This metal detection unit has a scanning aperture of 600mm x 400mm and is fabricated in stainless steel.
