New K-Protector Return Idler Guard from Kinder
Unguarded conveyor rollers expose plant personnel to the risk of entrapment between the return idlers and the conveyor belt during conveyor maintenance, yet this important safety issue is often overlooked.
Correctly designed conveyor guards do not have to be complicated or interfere with plant productivity. They are non-the-less essential on all conveyor installations, where operator safety should always come first.
The K-Protector Return Idler Guard, recently introduced to Kinder & Co’s product range, is a practical and safe solution to providing roller pinch point protection to all plant personnel.
Easily retrofitted to existing return roller brackets, the K-Protector Roller Idler Guard is designed to provide quick and convenient access to the idler for maintenance and cleaning, with either bolted or quick release guard panels.
As well as providing essential pinch point protection, an additional safety feature of the K-Protector, is that it acts as a basket to catch the roller in the event of idler failure.
Available to suit steel or self cleaning rubber disc return rollers in all belt widths, all K-Protector Roller Idler Guards have a composite leading edge to protect belts from wear and abrasion.
As with the entire Kinder & Co product range, K-Protector Roller Idler Guards are available off the shelf. Custom designs are also available to suit even the most demanding applications.
