Pallet Jack Scales for Hazardous Area Weighing at Dulux
Accuweigh’s Brisbane branch recently supplied a pallet jack fitted with onboard loadcells and a digital weight indicator for weighing duties inside the hazardous areas of Dulux Paint’s Rocklea factory in QLD.
Accuweigh’s pallet jack scales allows the operators to readily weigh the net volume of paint as it is being decantered without the need to transfer the loaded vessle to a scale in a different location.
An industry standard pallet jack was fitted with four 1t beam load cells connected to a digital weight indicator which has been specifically modified to comply with the very rigid EX standard.
The digital weight indicator is powered by a sealed rechargeable 12 volt battery fitted under the pallet jack headstock and can only be recharged by taking the pallet jack outside the hazardous area.
This Intrinisically Safe pallet jack scale can weigh up to 3,000 kg capacity by 1kg divisions and has a large LCD display that is exceptionally easy to read under all lighting conditions.
