Safe Transportation of Bulk Material
The BEUMER Group will be presenting new conveying solutions for the mining industry along with its full range of conveying and loading, palletising and packaging technology products and services at Bauma 2010 in Munich (Hall B2, Stand 321).
With comprehensive know-how, the BEUMER group implements conveyor solutions for mining. The group has tried and tested belt conveyors able to negotiate curves in its portfolio. These conveyors are deployed as troughed belt conveyors or tubular belt conveyors in transporting a variety of bulk materials over long distances and typically over difficult terrain. At Bauma, BEUMER will be exhibiting a drive station with a matching belt. This provides an energy-efficient approach to transporting bulk material over long distances.
In conveying technology, the BEUMER group offers solutions for a variety of industries, for example, for the building materials and steel industries, and now additionally for gravel and sand pits in the field of mining. These solutions include BEUMER bucket elevators, which can be implemented to serve delivery heights of 200 metres and for material flow rates of 2,000 m³/h and more. BEUMER high-capacity belt bucket elevators provide an optimum approach to conveying mass flows of fine grained materials and even powders.
Apron conveyors are another innovation. They can be used to transport hot materials such as cement bricks in a safe and efficient way. The conveying system is resistant to high temperatures. This innovative belt apron conveyor is based on field-proven belts as used in bucket elevators. Depending on the field conditions, purchasing costs can be between 5 and 20 percent lower than for apron conveyors with a chain as traction element.
In the palletising technology field, BEUMER will be showing the paletpac range. This high-capacity machine palletises bagged bulk materials. The geometric accuracy and stability of the stacked pallets enables trouble-free storage and ensures safe integration with a downstream packaging system. In addition to this, BEUMER will be exhibiting the versatile BEUMER stretch hood high-capacity packaging system. It packs palletised goods with a minimal film consumption and secures the load with a perfectly fitting film hood. This protects bagged bulk materials stacked on pallets against environmental influences such as moisture or dirt.
