Accuweigh's Industrial Weighing Equipment Increases Grain Loading Efficiency.
Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch recently supplied industrial weighing equipment for fitting under a shipping container inverter at Prograin’s Laverton plant. The industrial weighing equipment allows shipping containers to be weighed while still on the inverter - eliminating the need for the container to be taken to a weighbridge for weighing.
The empty containers are loaded onto the container inverter by forklift and then tilted by hydraulic rams so that delivery trucks can fill grain at the desired angle. When full, the container doors are closed before the container is lowered back to the rest position for the industrial weighing equipment to weigh the net content of grain.
Four Flintec RC3 industrial load cells of 30t capacity were fitted to the container inverter for a working capacity of 32t with full trade approval.
