Systec Batching Indicator Improves Batching Accuracy
A Systec Batching Indicator allows an operator to manually add product ingredients to a weigh hopper for a chemical manufacturer near the Port of Brisbane. The Systec IT3000 batching indicator transmits data to a remote display that is located on a mezzanine floor next to the hopper opening where the operator adds the required products.
The batching indicator tares its display to a zero reading, then transmits the product name and required weight as a negative value (-36kg) to the remote display. The operator simply adds the required product into the hopper scales until the weight reading displays a zero reading which indicates the required weight has been added.
The batching indicator checks that the weight reading is within tolerance, then steps to the next product name and required weight after taring the display to a zero reading again. This simple but almost fool-proof manual batching application is only one of many batching applications than can be configured in Systec’s IT3000 batching indicator.
For added safety, each batching recipes is downloaded into the batching indicator directly from a PC located in the office. Factory staff are not responsible for adding, deleting or controlling the batching recipes or operating sequences.
