The BFM Fitting Revolutionises Flexible Connections
The BFM Fitting is the worlds first ”clampless and snap in” connector and is a revolutionary advancement on the traditional flexible connector, which is used widely throughout many process industries for the transfer of products (typically powders) from one item of plant to another. As with its predecessor, the BFM Fitting is flexible and easily caters for the common application where one item of the plant is vibrating whilst the recipient item of plant is stationary. A visit to the website will clearly describe the product features and key benefits. (www.bfmfitting.com)

Standard flexible connectors are secured by hose clips which are often very difficult to fit, a problem which frequently results in the loss or contamination of product. Hygiene is also a major problem with standard flexible connectors, in that the product can build up between connector material and the side-wall of the spigot. In addition, many powder products are of an explosive nature and in the event of an explosion, a standard flexible connector is often an unwanted explosion releif vent.
The BFM Fitting is a completely new concept, which totally eliminates the need for hose clips. The newly designed and manufactured stainless steel flange/spigot is extremely easy to install AND it eliminates the crevice between the side walls of the spigot and the flexible connector. The fitting will also accommodate various connector materials such as Polyurethane, Polyester, Nylon, Aramid, Kevlar, PTFE etc and can be designed to completely contain an explosion.
The product has already received wide acceptance from the powder handling and processing industries, as field trials have exceeded all expectations.
The BFM Fitting has already been patented and trademarks have been registered in many countries around the world.
