- Transmission Supply and Service Company Pty Ltd (TSS), is a versatile engineering company, recognised as a leading Australian designer, manufacturer and distributor of quality industrial and security products, servicing markets throughout the world.

Established in 1968 by the late Mr. Geoff Fleming. The son of the founder, Mr. Alan Fleming, is the current Managing Director.

The company's mission is to be unique in the provision of in-house, cost-effective and technologically innovative products to service the industrial global markets supported by a highly professional network of expansive channel partners.

Working relationships have always been part of the business plan of the company with a long established partner businesses such as ‘VAN DER GRAAF’ a world leader in motorised drums…’CASSEL’ a world leader in metal detectors for the food industry…’FISCAN’ a recognised global manufacturer of security x-ray systems.

History

In 1968 the company commenced with a wealth of technical expertise and became widely known for its design and supply of materials handling conveyor equipment in quarries, mines, cement works, brick plants and other extractive industries; a tradition which continues to the present day.

In 1971 the company introduced the Australian and South East Asian market to the revolutionary motorised drive system, the internally driven power source used in the design of the company’s range of supermarket conveyors. Also installed in a wide range of industrial conveyors including those in airports, food, automotive, mining, quarrying, cement, plants, etc.

In 1972 the company won its first order for the newly developed ‘DETEC’ industrial metal detector which has become Australias leading mining detector, with thousands of units sold globally for the protection of production machinery from damage caused by tramp metal.

In 1986 the company’s ongoing commitment to research and development made it possible to bring to the market the ‘DETEC’ security walkthrough and hand held metal detectors and with x-ray examination systems from our alliance partner ‘FISCAN’ the company now provides security screening solutions to a wide customer base.

In 2004 the company's R&D team launched the new global series walkthrough metal detector with multi-zone performance technology and continued to be Australia’s only manufacturer of this product.

In 2006-2007 the TSS has achieved a growth in business activity of 25% over the previous year and has established a new division, CPA™ Conveyor Pulleys Australia and moved to its new Head Office at 92 Abbott Road, Hallam, Victoria, 3803.
