Twenty years of FLOWFORCE
Adelaide manufacturer Flow Force Technologies celebrated its 20th birthday in April with a quiet dinner party.
Brian Lewis of Flow Force quipped "Little did I think in 1988 that 20 years hard labour would be a happy fate!"
Since the first Flow Force impact weighers were installed in the mineral sands industry in 1988 the company has enjoyed the continued approval of this and other minerals processing industries for their robust designs, attention to detail and customer support.
Flow Force products have found their way into a wide variety of industries, including mineral sands, cement, lime, fly ash, kiln dust, fertiliser, food additives, alumina, magnesia, grain, gluten, sultanas, olives, silica sand, confectionery, coal, rice and sugar.
While best known for their impact weighers or mass flow meters Flow Force product applications also include feed rate control, blending control, yield measurement, belt weighing, bulk bagging, check weighing and sampling.
Flow Force products reside mainly in Australia but some have found their way to Canada, USA, West Indies, New Zealand, Russia, Korea, China, Philippines, Malaysia, India and Mozambique.
The new MAGNE//FLO technology (see photo) from Flow Force has opened up even more applications for impact weighers where lighter flow rates, lighter product densities, cleaning-in-place and hazardous materials are involved.
According to Brian Lewis the future success of the company will be determined by its ability to continue to provide client advantages at competitive prices and the key to this will be "to use the youth around us and harness what THEY know but teach them what it takes to go on with the FLOW."
