Wayahead Completes Another PLC Management System
Wayahead Systems, based in Sydney, have recently completed a major project for Wyeth Nutritionals in the Philippines. The project links the validated Wayahead weighing product (3WS) to a PLC processing system developed by Tetrapak (Sweden). The project, named Tetrapak Plant Master (TPM) manages a new Melter system, to produce nutritional products.
For this TPM project, 3WS manages all barcode labelling, weighing, lot management, user recording and FDA/TGA related data integrity checking. Then 3WS updates the TPM system with Material information, to enable the TPM system to process all materials through the new Melter. The total system ensures Wyeth complete all tasks to the highest integrity level. The system is fully validated.
In a separate project, in China, Wayahead has interfaced 3WS to an AZO vacuum transfer system. For this project 3WS again validates all lot management, weighing and integrity procedures, ensuring all Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP) are guaranteed, within the AZO vacuum transfer system. In addition barcode labels generated by 3WS during the weighing stages, are rechecked by AZO to ensure all materials are accounted for, with full reporting of all production activities.
Another project, to link 3WS with SAP, Swisslog and Rockwell is due for onsite testing in Suzhou, in China, in the next few months. This project is at a new greenfield site, with extensive validation protocols managed by Wayahead.
Wayahead are also currently working on a new Flow-Meter project in Australia.
Another PLC management project in the Philippines, is expected to begin by the end of this year. More technical details will be included on this website, as these projects are completed.
