Weighbridge Load Cells Upgraded For Busy Recycling Plant.
Accuweigh’s QWM branch recently completed a weighbridge load cell upgrade at Visy’s Paper Recycling plant in Brisbane. The weighbridge load cell upgrade included fitting eight new weighbridge load cells, testing, calibration and re-certification to allow the weighbridge to be used for trade use.
The original approaches to the weighbridge had moved over time and no longer complied with W&M regulations for flat level surfaces either side of the weighbridge deck. A one metre section at both ends of the weighbridge was removed and new reinforced concrete foundations inserted.
The weighbridge load cell upgrade was necessary due to damage caused to the pendles of the original weighbridge load cells by excessive weighbridge movement under heavy truck braking. Weighbridge speed bumps were installed to limit truck speeds across the weighbridge.
