Weighbridge Upgraded for Longer Vehicles

A stockfeeds weighbridge was recently upgraded to allow B Double trucks to be weighed in a single weighing operation. The existing eighteen metre weighbridge was extended to thirty-six metres overall length by grafting another eighteen metre weighbridge deck onto one end.

The weighbridge extension was performed by Accuweigh’s Melbourne branch for Heytesbury Stockfeeds on Victoria’s Central Coast. Vehicles positioned on the weighbridge are filled from overhead silos with the new extended weighbridge length will also allow the client to install more overhead silos.

The weighing configuration was set as two individual weighbridge decks to allow simultaneous filling of different product into the truck/trailer combos. Three R420 digital weighing indicators were used to provide the individual weight indication for each weighbridge as well as perform the vital summing duties for displaying the total weight of both weighbridges.

AASoftware’s Ticket Aid Weighbridge Software was supplied along with a basic ticker printer to generate weighbridge weight tickets. Two large digit remote displays are mounted externally to relay the weight readings back to the truck drivers to ensure they are aware of their total vehicle mass.
