Weighbridges Installed At Cement Loading Facility
The Accuweigh / QWM branch in Brisbane recently installed two heavy duty weighbridges at Cement Australia’s Bulwer Island Plant. The weighbridges are being used for loading cement into trucks from over head silos in the load-out bays.
Due to the uneven ground levels inside the plant, the weighbridge decks were poured outside and moved into position after the concrete in the decks had fully cured. Both weighbridges utilize a single weighbridge deck 28 metres long by 3.25 metres wide.
The weighbridges are configured for dual range weighings with a total capacity of 80t using 8 x PT HP C45 load cells each. An A&D 4323 digital weight indicator displays the weighbridge weight readings and relays data to both a Rinstrum D740 remote display and to Cement Australia’s own weighbridge software.
Accuweigh’s Brisbane South operation was recently merged with QWM’s Brisbane North weighbridge manufacturing facility for increased efficiency and improved cost effectiveness for clients of both operations.
