Powder Handling Seminars:

We have had an overwhelming response to the one-day Powder Handling and Processing Seminar being held in Sydney on 28th February and we quickly exceeded our original planned numbers. However, we have managed to secure a larger room at the same venue, so we are currently still accepting registrations. There is however only a very limited number of places left, so register now to avoid disappointment.

Planning is underway for two more seminars to be held at different locations. We have a preliminary outline for an event in New Zealand in May and an event in WA in July. Further details of both these events will be released on the web site soon and in next months newsletter.

These will again be one-day seminars, which will include morning and afternoon tea, lunch and full seminar notes. Places will be limited. Nuplex Specialty Products wishes to dispose of a complete Powder Blending Plant from its factory in Seven Hills, NSW.

The plant is a fully functioning Powders Blending and Packing System, capable of 10,000 tonnes pa operating over two 9-hour shifts, 5 days per week.

Complete flow diagrams are available from Nuplex, but briefly, the plant consists of a day bin section, which allows semi automatic product batching via a lean phase pneumatic conveying system, to batch hoppers and a 1.5 tonne capacity Forberg Mixer.

From the mixer, product is transported on a flat inclined belt conveyor to a bucket elevator, which feeds a batch weigh filling system. The filling system is designed to fill 5 x 1 kg tubs in one operation. The tubs are capped in an automatic capper and cap checker.
