In House Seminars:

In addition to our organised one day seminars, we also run in house seminars specifically for your company. Typically, our "standard" in house seminar is a general overview of all the common types of equipment associated with powder handling & includes:

  • An overview of the different types of pneumatic conveying, with an emphasis on lean phase blowing & vacuum systems.
  • Bucket elevators, a design overview, advantages/disadvantages & alternative designs.
  • Screw conveyors (including flexible screw conveyors)a design overview, advantages/disadvantages of each.
  • Silo/hopper discharge, what are the common problems & causes, overview of the common discharge aids available, advantages/disadvantages of each.
  • The use of intermediate bulk containers (IBC's) in batch processing, types available, advantages/disadvantages.
  • The use of bulk bags, types, filling, discharging, handling, advantages/disadvantages.
  • Mixing/blending, overview of different types of mixer, advantages/disadvantages.

In house seminars can be customised to suit your companys specific areas of interest, with more time spent on particular areas where more information would be beneficial.

These seminars are typically 2 to 3 hours long, depending on the final format and the number of questions asked by the audience. Cost is from $500, depending again on final format and the size of the audience. Their is also an additional preparation charge for customising the presentation, which is dependant on how much customising is done to suit your specific requirements. If the venue is outside the Sydney metropolitan area, traveling expenses will be charged at cost plus 15%.

Ideally, these seminars are run on your own premises in a meeting or training room, which helps to keep your costs down. Obviously, this depends on the availability of such a room and the number of attendees. If preferred, we can arrange an alternative venue near to your location & provide all presentation equipment and refreshments etc. The cost for this option will be determined by the chosen venue and the number of attendees, but this is quoted and agreed beforehand.

If you would like further information about PowderHandling in house seminars, or would like to discuss you actual requirements, email us and we will contact you.
