Forklift Weighing Scales Improves OH&S at QLD Rail

Forklift Weighing Scales were recently fitted to an existing Yale forklift truck at Qld Rail’s Redbank Plains Rail Workshop in Queensland. Supplied and installed by Accuweigh’s QWM branch in Brisbane, the Forklift Weighing Scales are being used to ensure the Safe Working Loads (SWL) of onsite pallet racking is not being exceeded.

Accuweigh’s Forklift Weighing Scales includes a high accuracy digital pressure transducer fitted to the hydraulic lines and connected to a quality digital weight indicator to display the weight readings. To allow failsafe operation in wet and dusty conditions, the digital weight indicator has a full stainless steel housing rated to IP65 as dustproof and waterproof.

To better cope with the sometimes variable power output the forklifts alternator, Accuweigh’s Forklift Weighing Scales are fitted internally with switching 10-30 VDC power input. The digital LCD display has large 20mm high digits with backlighting to ensure clear reading by the forklift truck operator under all ambient lighting conditions, including bright sunlight.

Configured for a weighing capacity of 2,000kg by 20kg divisions, the Forklift Weighing Scales were fully tested and calibrated using certified test weights to ensure good weighing accuracy and repeatability.

Accuweigh has extensive industry experience in installing and servicing Forklift Weighing Scales and offers Superior Product Support from eight branches across mainland states to ensure complete client satisfaction.
