A Weighbridge for weighing truck loads of grain was recently commissioned for EP Storage (Free Eyre) at Rudall, SA by Accuweigh’s Adelaide branch. The Weighbridge is 40 metres long by 3.5 metres wide and is used for weighing truck and trailer combinations carrying grain in and out of the new rural storage facility.
As the Weighbridge office is mounted approx. 70 metres away from the actual Weighbridge, due to Weights & Measures regulations, CCTV cameras are fitted at both ends of the weighbridge. The cameras enable the Weighbridge operator to ensure the trucks are correctly positioned on the Weighbridge deck for both incoming and outgoing traffic.
Due to the remote location of the Weighbridge away from mains power, solar panels are used to operate the cameras, two way intercom and the small remote displays mounted in a weather proof box at each end of the Weighbridge. A generator and an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is used to supply clean 240VAC power to operate all equipment in the Weighbridge office.
AA Software’s Ticket Aid Pro+ Weighbridge Software was also supplied to generate weight tickets and also provide detailed transaction reports as required by the client.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weighing company and has fully trained weighbridge crews and test trucks operation out of branches in all mainland states.
