Nu-Con’s SmartFil range of packing machines, launched in late 2006, complements Nu-Con’s Vacuum and Pressure Dense Phase Powder Conveying systems to provide an integrated solution for packing dairy powders in 25 kg and bulk bags.
With orders from markets as diverse as Asia Pacific, Europe and South America, Nu-Con offers a growing range of innovative and hygienic 25 kg bag filling machines for accurate filling of gassed and non gassed milk powders, in open mouth 25 kg bags, complete with dust extraction. Options for USDA and ATEX compliance are available where required.
Nu-Con’s SmartFil range of 25 kg bag fillers starts with the 100D and 120D (100- 120 bags per hour) Models, which rely on an operator to manually load and remove each bag onto the filling head for automatic and accurate powder filling, at packing rates of up to 3 TPH. The manual loading of bags allows flexibility in using 25 kg paper bags with a loose liner, which could be sealed, sewn or taped.
The Model 180D is a higher capacity ‘Automatic’ In-line filler with automated bag loading, removal and transfer through a heat sealer and down stream equipment for check weighing, metal detection / reject and printing followed by accumulation conveyors to allow manual or automatic palletising. For gassed powders, this machine eliminates bag handling during and after filling resulting in better residual oxygen levels with a Nu-Con pre-gassing system.
On a recent project in South America, Nu-Con’s 180D filler design was upgraded to allow for a higher packing rate of up to 200 bags per hour, since the powder is packed from directly below a dryer / sifter. Nu-Con worked closely with the customer and building consultant to offer a special design for the packing / gassing hopper to support it from the floor above, including a divert arrangement to a bulk bag station and to maximise the hopper’s capacity for powder storage / gassing.
For another higher capacity application, Nu-Con is supplying a “Carousel” type filler with filling / sealing stations in a circular configuration as this will allow for a much smaller footprint and compact design for filling rates of 240 bags per hour and above. This design of machine employs the NLG (Never Let Go) principle when handling each 25 kg bag as it travels through each phase of the machine’s process.
As a result of Nu-Con’s innovative designs, many are now a standard in the industry, including low velocity vacuum conveying, demountable rotary valves with rotor detection systems, pallet and waste disposal systems.
