A bagging system designed for portability is being used for bagging grain directly out of different silos in Western Australia. The bagging system is suspended from a large frame that is mounted on industrial casters for mobility.
Rather than fit out the grain processing plant with an elaborate grain transfer system, the owner of the grain plant decided to cut unnecessary expenditure by purchasing a bagging system that could be easily relocated within the plant.
Accuweigh’s Perth branch supplied the custom bagging system that is simply wheeled from silo to silo as required by a single person. Once the bagging system is on position under the required auger chute, the casters on the frame are locked to prevent it from moving. The high/low level probes of the catch hopper are connected to the silo’s auger drive controller to regulate the flow of material to the bagging machine to maintain a constant product flow.
A Budpak GB55 gross weight bagging system is gravity fed from a small catch hopper mounted overhead. The BudPak GB50 bagging system requires the operator to clamp empty bags onto the filling chute with the bag automatically dropped when full. A Newlong Industrial NP7-A hand held sewing machine was also supplied to close the bags along with a trade approved check scale to ensure the filled bags from the bagging system conform to Weights & Measures regulations.
Accuweigh is Australia’s largest industrial weigh/packaging group and has branches in all mainland states providing full service support on bagging systems and bag closing equipment.
