Satake Australia, the cereal milling and bulk materials handling equipment specialists, have recently moved to new modern premises in Penrith, to the west of Sydney. This exciting new phase in the company’s history follows forty two years in Revesby, where the site was originally the premises of the British cereal milling engineers, ‘Thomas Robinson & Sons’. They began operating here from circa 1967. The site later incorporated the business of fellow milling engineers ‘Henry Simon’ to become ‘Robinson Milling Systems’ and then from the early 1990’s, the Australian offices of the Satake Corporation, Japan.
Satake are known in Australia for constructing some of the country’s largest and most modern feed mills, flour processing systems and seed cleaning lines. Their optical sorters can also be found in many cereal, recycling, macadamia and other nut processing plants.
Satake Australia’s flour milling sales manager, Roger Cook, said that the company had been looking forward to the new modern offices and workshop facilities for sometime and that the improved test facilities and manufacturing areas will allow Satake to further develop, engineer, manufacture and install industry leading process systems, as well as servicing and maintaining their predecessors’ equipment.
