Polex Environmental Engineering Pty Ltd actively participated at National manufacturing week in Homebush, NSW in May 2010, making it the third year in a row for the companys’ representation. Polex was represented by Managing Director, Grant Stevens.
National Manufacturing Week had an outstanding response due to improvement in the global economy and improvement in the Australian manufacturing sector. On display were companies from all sectors of manufacturing and Polex was among the few engineering companies specialising in dust collection systems. Advancement in product technology and innovative engineering in Australia was a key aspect of the manufacturing week this year, attracting attendance of thousands of buyers, manufacturers, professionals and students over a four day period.
Polex displayed a variety of their products this year. One of the products on display was their towering 5.5m high modular reverse pulse dust collection system, attracting interest from a number of spectators and potential buyers. This dust collection system is suited to various industries including automotive, cement, defense, educational, fertiliser, fibreglass, food and beverage, flour, foundries, glass, grain, mining and mineral research, paper and cardboard, pharmaceutical, rubber and plastics, powder coating, steel, timber, welding and many more. Modifications in design are made depending on customer needs.
The interchangeability of components for different sized dust collectors minimises stock levels required and allows for fast delivery of assembled dust collectors. Components are stocked for all models and assembled to order. Each Polex dust collector module is 1090 mm deep x 1090 mm wide. Polex dust collectors are 100% modular and can therefore be easily extended as the airflow requirements through the system increase without having to replace the entire dust collector.
The easy usability and low maintenance of this product has made it one of Polex’s best selling product lines. Depending on the application, up to 4×10 dust collection modules can be attached resulting in airflows in excess of 200,000 m3/h with 1000 m2 of filter area.
Another product on display was the vehicle exhaust hose reel. The hose reels are designed for the extraction of vehicle exhaust fumes. They can be used with a single fan or as part of a centralised extraction system. The hose reels are supplied complete with a crush proof flexible hose and a tailpipe connection nozzle. The exhaust reels are used in motorcycle, car and truck service workshops & dealerships, defense and educational institutions. Optional attachments are available including extra high temperature flexible hose, sliding track configurations and automatic closing valves.
Other products offered by Polex are portable fume and dust extraction units used for metal grinding dust, welding exhaust fumes, chemical fumes, paint odours and adhesive fumes. Polex also offers an extensive range of industrial fans, fume arms and spray booths.
Polex is a specialist designer and manufacturer of industrial air pollution control equipment, located in Auburn, New South Wales.
