WA Labour Shortages Initiate Robotic Palletising System Purchase

A Robotic Palletising System was recently commissioned for a seed grower and supplier located in Western Australia. Supplied by Accuweigh/Budpak’s Perth branch, the Robotic Palletising System was required to overcome staff shortages caused by the current mining boom in this state.

The Japanese made Fuji-Ace Robotic Palletising System is configured for twin cell operation to automatically transfer bags onto pallets positioned either side of the Palletiser itself. When loading of the first pallet is completed, the bags are then stacked onto the alternate side to allow a forklift to remove the completed pallet without interference to the ongoing Palletising operation.

The Fuji-Ace EC-101 Robotic Palletising System is highly energy efficient using servo motors and was supplied with a pneumatically operated bag gripper assembly. With a Palletising capacity of up to 1,200 cycles per hour, the EC-101 is very cost effective and features ultra-quiet operation with improved efficiencies and maximum flexibility.

Other supplied components of the Palletizing system included a bag pickup conveyor, pallet location guides, safety fencing, control system, additional light curtains and a bag kicker and driven bag flattener.
